Name of the city;
Dubai (United Arab Emirates)

Location;
Dubai is one of seven district in United Arab Emirates at the Middle East, where it is located on the Eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, in the southwest corner of the Arabian Gulf.

Climate;
UAE has a hot sub-tropical climate, which the temperatures rarely drops below 15°C and average more than 32ºC and can reach as high as 48ºC. lying on sub topical belt it is a desert and hence it is obvious to have high temperatures. Moreover, the rainfall is a meager as low as 13 centimeters that generally touches the deserts in winters. Dubai has a sub-tropical, arid climate, with perfect weather for at least six months out of the year. Rainfall is infrequent and happens mainly in winter. Usually it amounts to about 13 centimeters, spread over five days per year. Temperatures range from a low of about 10 degrees Celsius on winter nights, to a high of 48 degrees Celsius in the midday summer heat.

Population;
Everyday in newspapers we come across several advertisements concerning the planning department of each country, where that planning department’s main focus has always been the increasing population of each country. So did, the census of Dubai revealed about the population of this Desert king.
The unstoppable number of expatriates has forced Dubai’s government to undertake the ever population census from December 2005 to March 2006. As such, UAE population was estimated to be around 4.3 millions in 200 with an included estimate of over 3 million of foreign population. Being its extreme diverse population in Middle East, it got inevitable to have a census of its Middle East king- Dubai.
The census was undertaken in two parts:
The first clause contained the business classes keeping an eye over all type of business centers and flats.
The second part of the census of December 2005 included the families and individual, both in whole of Dubai.
This census was a detailed survey to distinguish the population of Immigrants as well as the real populis. Door-to-door investigations were done about the members and each person was listed under different categories including emigrant, business, citizen, visitor and so on.
The population was then estimated of about 3.45 million in total, including all classes of the population. The breakup was however provided according the states and the emirates residing there.

History;
History of Dubai….World is getting global and so does the mental status of people. Regions are no more earthed under secrets and they are actually outsourced to the magic wands of computers. There have been many global business centers but the city that comes first to our mind is, Dubai, a city center for many business houses which feeds millions of dreamers.
Being the major part consisting of sand dunes rolling over the foothills of Hajar Mountains in the east, it has tremendously developed in last two decades. Going back to history, it takes several mysteries in its lap of about how it was named. As such very little is known about pre-Islamic culture. There are several theories that originated with time about the origin of its name. Some people say that it is a combination of the Farsi words for two and brothers, referring to Diera and bur Dubai. Some others call this name to be extracted from the word money as it has always been a trade center.
Whatever the story may lie behind the origin of name, we definitely believe it to be the most attractive commercial centre throughout the world. During 18th century, Dubai is said to be a small fishing and trading village. In 1833 Al-Maktuom family settled in Dubai when members of Al-Bu Falasah secede from Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Maktoum being young ruled Dubai well and soon it became a flourishing coastal town. As it developed it got divided into three districts namely Diera, Bur Dubai and Sindhagda.

Tallest Building;
Burj-alArab Dubai is a skyscraper currently under construction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which is currently the tallest man-made building on Earth. Construction began on September 21, 2004, and it is expected to be completed and ready for occupation in September 2009. All Dubai tourism should start here.
